Hi Friends!

Happy Thursday! I hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far. This Sunday, we are heading off the block to help serve our community and our world! We will be partnering with other churches in The Diocese of Atlanta for a river clean-up day in honor of World River Day. We will be heading to the Fulton County Public Works site to put in some sweat equity to ensure our river and river banks are clean for the year to come. As followers of Jesus, it is important for us to take care of the world that God created for us. There is no act too small and I hope you will join us as we spend a few hours being the hands and feet of God in out community.

Please sign-up below if you will be coming and if you can help carpool. Additionally, we will be back in time for Youth Choir. No SNL to follow.

Peace,

Hope

PARENT CORNER

Parents Needed for SNL Dinner!

It's that time again, SNL begins September 10th which means our parent meal sign-up is back! There is so much that goes into Sunday's in The Attic and one of the ways that parents can help is by providing our meal during SNL. This can be anything from a homemade meal, take-out, or catering...whatever is easiest for you! This is usually for about 20-25 people.

Please take a look at the available dates and sign-up for a time that works best for you! Thank you so much for your dedication to our youth program, we couldn't do it without awesome parents like you!

MIDDLE SCHOOL CORNER

New Beginnings Fall Retreat

New Beginnings is a spiritual formation retreat designed for middle school students in The Diocese of Atlanta. Every Fall and Spring, between 60-100 students and adults come together for a weekend of camp activities, small groups, skits, music, and plenty of fellowship.

This retreat is led by our New Beginnings Team, a group of high school students, chaperones, and parish and diocesan staff who plan the program and host our middle schoolers.

HIGH SCHOOL CORNER

Happening Fall Retreat

Happening is a renewal weekend for high school students. Adults can serve on the Happening Team as chaperones, but our Happening Team students lead the weekend for the retreat attendees (Candidates).

Happening takes place twice a year (Fall and Spring) and typically hosts between 70-150 young people at Camp Mikell. During the retreat, students participate in camp activities and small groups as they’re encouraged to deepen their relationship with God and others.

Students can only attend Happening as a Candidate once. After they ‘Happen,’ students are welcome to apply for Happening Team in order to host the next retreat!

High School Pilgrimage 2024

June 9th-15th

We are SO excited to officially announce our High School Pilgrimage location for 2024.

We will be heading to...CROATIA!

We will be embarking on a trip of a lifetime as we journey to the place where so much of early Christianity took place. We will see the impact of Eastern and Western Christianity meeting, learn about and see the work of Titus and the Apostle Paul, learn about the Roman empires influence on Croatia, and so much more. We will even spend a day exploring on the Adriatic Sea!

Our Trip will begin and end in Split, Croatia. but we will also travel to the cities of Makarska, Salona, and Trogir.

It will truly be a trip we will never forget!

The Details:

  • The dates of our pilgrimage will be June 9-15, 2024

  • This is open to all current 10th-12th graders at All Saints'.

  • The cost of the trip is $4000. This is an all-inclusive price and includes airfare, travel insurance, food, and all activities while we are abroad.

We know that this is expensive, which is why we will be fundraising throughout the year. In order to fundraise, we will be closing registration for the trip on October 1st to ensure we have enough time to plan our fundraising opportunities.

Additionally, registration is setup so that you can log into your Realm account and make multiple payments throughout the year if needed.

We are asking for a $200 deposit upon registration to hold your spot on the trip, you are welcome to pay more than that when registering or just the $200!

Commitments:

  • Youth who attend pilgrimage are expected to be active participants in the life of All Saints'.
  • We will be meeting monthly, beginning in October, to start learning about what pilgrimage means, learn about Croatia and their culture, decide on fundraising opportunities, and to build relationship among each other before starting our pilgrim's journey. Pilgrims are expected to attend these monthly meetings as we prepare for our pilgrimage.
  • In May, we will have a Pilgrimage Overnight in The Attic to prepare our hearts and minds for our journey. All pilgrim's will be expected to attend.

Registration:

If you are ready to register, you can do so using the link below. A reminder that registration will close on October 1st so don't waste any time!
