Planning Continues for When We Can Reopen
As Wisconsin businesses begin to slowly reopen and resume some type of new normal, our Y is also considering how we can start to slowly reopen and rebuild our services.

Last week, State Officials released the Badger Bounce Back Plan, which is based on the White House guidelines for Opening Up America Again in partnership with the CDC. In short, the plan outlined three phases that will open up our state over time. This plan is at the center of our decision making and will help to guide our reopening of services.

Due to safe distance and group size restrictions, we anticipate starting with a very condensed version of facility services with limited programs available. We know that you will want space while in our buildings, so space configurations and cleanliness will be a top priority. In the coming weeks, you will continue to receive regular updates demonstrating what to expect when the Y reopens.

YMCA Reopening Survey
Please take a few minutes to complete our brief reopening survey by next Wednesday, May 6th. Your feedback is important to us and this survey will help us better understand your feelings and comfort level as we plan for reopening our services.

We want to thank you for staying with us during this time. With your help, we have been able to continue to offer important services to those who need it, including our Emergency Services Child Care and virtual/at-home options which help keep our community healthy in spirit, mind and body.

#GivingTuesdayNow
May 5th, 2020

#GivingTuesday has now launched a new campaign called #GivingTuesdayNow to help organizations that are affected by or serve those who are impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

Our Y will be participating in this global event which takes place on May 5th, 2020. We will have a special online giving platform available where people can give specifically to the YMCA at Pabst Farms and the Watertown YMCA.

So many of you are choosing to support the Y with continuing your membership – THANK YOU! If you’re able, we hope you will consider donating to support the Y and support our community. Every little bit helps. Your gift will go directly to support programs and services we have provided and continue to provide "Beyond our Walls", such as Emergency Services Child Care, virtual workouts, and connecting with our community to help them maintain a healthy spirit and mind.

Please help support us by giving to or sharing #GivingTuesdayNow.

You may have already seen some social media posts regarding #GivingTuesdayNow and we will continue to promote it on our website and social media pages over the next few days. Please consider sharing these posts on your own social media page with a blurb about “Why the Y” and what it means to you to give back to your community.

We know this crisis may have affected you personally, and if it has, we are here to support you. Please, email or call – we are here to listen. But if you are able, we hope you will consider supporting us on May 5th by donating and sharing the donation page on your social media.

Please reach out to Heidi Hoeft with any questions or concerns you may have. We appreciate your involvement!

You are the reason #thisYcan.
