Y's Men Walks to Begin at 9:00 am for Summer

For the summer, Y's Men walks which normally begin at 10:00 am, have been rolled back to 9:00 am to take advantage of cooler temperatures. The Thursday walk will continue to begin at 10:00 am following the Social Hour at the Compo Beach Pavilion.

For the remainder of this week, all walks have been cancelled because of the expected excessive heat.

Tomorrow's Social Hour at Compo Beach Pavilion Canceled

As previously reported, predictions of extreme heat have forced the cancellation of tomorrow's Social Hour at the Compo Beach Pavilion. The gathering will continue next Thursday, July 9 when free coffee, donuts and bagels are served from 9:00 to 10:00 am as usual.

In addition to the expected heat, preparations at Compo for the fireworks Thursday evening and tighter than usual parking were cited as complicating factors for canceling the Social Hour.
