Y’s Men Membership News

Saturday, November 16, 2024

Hello Y's Men:

Before we highlight a new member this week, here’s a quick update regarding what’s happening with Y’s Men Membership:

We have great news about our membership growth and renewal process. Your dedication and enthusiasm for our organization have yielded impressive results!

New Member Surge

Thanks to your outstanding referrals, we've welcomed 50 new members since July. This remarkable growth puts us right on track with the Finance Team's targets and demonstrates the strength and appeal of our community.

Strong Renewal Numbers

Renewals are coming in strong. Many of you have discovered the convenience of renewing through our new website, launched by Y’s Men President Bruce Borner. If you haven't renewed yet: When it is your time to renew, you will receive an email, and we encourage you to take advantage of this user-friendly platform. Log in with your email address and hit the Lost Password link if you need it refreshed.

Website Enhancements

Have you explored the new website? The recently added bios and photos directory is a popular hit among members. If you haven't seen it yet, we highly recommend trying it! You will also see descriptions of all the Special Interest Groups on the website and the Y’s Men Calendar.

Looking Ahead

Some of you may have heard whispers about a Y's Men survey. I'm excited to announce that Bob Walker, an expert in this field and a Y’s Man, has been working with our Board to develop a comprehensive questionnaire. We are currently in the testing phase with Past Presidents and Board members, and soon, we will extend this survey to all 500+ members. Your input will be invaluable in shaping the future direction of the Y’s Men.

Your passion for Y's Men is truly contagious, and we encourage you to continue spreading the word about our organization to your friends. Your referrals are the lifeblood of our growth.

We will soon announce new initiatives with the Membership Committee to enhance your Y's Men experience and strengthen our community.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement. Together, we're making Y's Men of Westport/Weston an even more vibrant and dynamic organization!

Introducing Chandler Paris

Chandler Paris

Chandler Paris has been a Westport resident since 2011. He received his undergraduate degree in economics from the State University of New York at New Paltz. His career went through New York, San Francisco and Chicago and then, after many years of developing investment portfolio technology products for hedge funds and asset managers, he decided it was time to get off the train.

Since his retirement, Chandler enjoys twice daily walks at Compo Beach. He is currently documenting his knowledge on investment technology through an online memoir. Additionally, he provides remote consultation in that field.

Chandler and his wife Kimberly have two daughters currently attending college.

Chandler has expressed interest in the Y’s Men’s Investment Club as well as the Technology and Website Committees.
