Hello, Y’s Men. Here’s the latest Membership News:

Special thanks to Ed Diamond and Bill Blaufuss who spent hours reorganizing and updating name badges for the first Y’s Men meeting of the season on September 5. 

We have welcomed 20 new members since the fiscal year began in July. This growth is largely thanks to our dedicated longstanding members who continue to refer new faces. Thanks to Ed Diamond, Ted Horowitz, Marshall Breines, George Kalan, Baxter Urist, Woody Bliss, Bob Rosenkranz, Mitch Fitter, Nick Snow, Art Gang, Keith Brooks, Ron Holtz, Joe Wiles, Steve Rothenberg, and Steve Chodroff for their referrals.

Introducing New Y's Man Joe Reardon

Joe Reardon

From Finance to Community Service, Joe Reardon, a Westport resident since 1994, brings a wealth of experience from the financial sector and a passion for community involvement. Here's what you need to know:

Background: Joe holds a BBA in Accounting from Iona College (1982) and an MBA in Finance from Pace University (1984).

Career highlights:

• Served as Chief Compliance Officer at Third Avenue Management from 2005 to 2023
• Held various positions, including Chief Compliance Officer, at Weiss, Peck & Greer from 1990 to 2005
• Started his career with junior positions at New York Life and Wood Struthers & Winthrop

Community involvement:

• Currently volunteers for Food Rescue US, delivering food to various food banks
• Previously volunteered for Westport Humane Society and Meals on Wheels

Interests:

• Outdoor activities: Cycling, walking/jogging, hiking, golf, and sailing
• Sports: Interested in playing more pickleball and tennis
• Learning: Currently teaching himself Spanish and wants to learn bridge

Y's Men involvement:

• Expressed strong interest in community service, membership, and social committees
