| | How the Media Handled Trump’s First 100 Days | | |
Participating in the media panel on Sunday, June 1 are (top row) Jim Marpe, Jim Himes, and Alisyn Camerota, and (bottom row) Rebecca Surran and Aaron Weinstein.
To say we live in interesting times may be the understatement of the century. The first 100-days of the new administration have been a mixture of numerous executive orders and an equal number of legal challenges. And how the media has both covered and survived the news is the subject of a second media panel discussion at the Westport Library on Sunday, June 1 at 2:00 pm. The first, in January before the inauguration, was a sellout.
The second event, co-sponsored by the Y’s Men and The Westport Library and moderated by Y’s Men Past President John Brandt, includes five panelists with differing perspectives on stunningly contentious media coverage. They include U.S. Congressman Jim Himes, veteran news anchor and blogger Alisyn Camerota, local news anchor and feature reporter Rebecca Surran, multi-term Westport First Selectman Jim Marpe, and assistant professor of politics at Fairfield University, Aaron Weinstein.
For tickets, click the link below. But you better be quick. This is going to be another sellout.

The Tourney’s format will be Scramble or Best Ball utilizing a team of three or four players.
