Camp Compassion

7th grade - college age

July 28 - Aug 1, 2014

Camp Compassion is the Annual Diocesan Youth and Young Adult Mission Trip. It is open to Youth and Young Adults, starting with incoming High School freshmen. During this week-long mission, participants get to experience being the hands and feet of Jesus in the world.

In 2014, we will be joining forces with Mission:Possible which is a local mission trip sponsored by the churches in the Oakland Deanery of the Diocese of Michigan.

Here is their welcome:

We would like to invite you to a local mission trip hosted by the Oakland County Deanery. Mission: Possible is open to 7th grade through college age students.

This summer at we will be working with amazing organizations in Pontiac like: Grace Centers of Hope, Baldwin Center and CCRT. These organizations will provide opportunities for youth to do things like: paint rooms, knock down walls, take out/replace porches, tile bathrooms, work in a food pantry, clean up walkways, deliver furniture to needy families, and more. We will be using shovels, paint brushes, brooms, and sledge hammers! Don't worry parents, many of the leadership and some of the youth are mission trip veterans, safety is our first concern! We also use work gloves, eye protection, hard hats and dust masks, when necessary.

DATE: Monday July 28th through Friday Aug 1st at 8:30PM

PLACE: All Saints Episcopal Church, 171 W Pike St Pontiac, MI 48341 (This is an overnight Mission Trip)

QUESTIONS: Contact Andrew Wilke ([email protected]) 248-921-9694, or

Chris Gannon ([email protected]) 810-417-1055 or go to our Facebook page Mission: Possible

COST: $275 - I have prayer and support letters to help youth do fundraising for Mission: Possible. I also have Oakland Deanery scholarships if the extra cost is a burden in any way.

Summer Camp

Once again this year we have teamed up with Living Water Ministries and Camp Michi-lu-ca to offer summer camp for the young people of the Diocese.

This year though we have two weeks that especially Episcopally focused and we are calling them Episco Weeks at Camp. Each of these two weeks, we will have Episcopal adults on staff who will be helping with the programming and pastoral care of our young people. The two weeks are: July 6-11 and July 13-18.

You can go to these links to find out additional information about the Camp and how to register:

In addition to the two Episco weeks mentioned, Living Water has a number of other summer options that you or your student might be interested in.
