TOTAL HOME TRANSFORMATIONS
Yes -- you can transform your whole house
and here are the photos to prove it!

When my clients are feeling overwhelmed by all there is to organize in their homes, I tell them that everything is doable. Even an entire home can be transformed -- you just need to focus on one room at a time, carve out time to work on the project, and have the correct resources to help.

Below you'll find photos of a home I worked on last year along with details for all of the facilities we used to help sell unneeded furnishings; donate items; shred old personal papers; and discard what was no longer usable.

These pictures represent just some of the rooms my client and I worked on. In preparation to sell her home and move, we transformed every room, including the garage. My client suggested that I include our work in my newsletter and that I title it “How to Get 30% More Money When You Sell Your Home" because that’s what happened!

And similar to many of my clients who go through this process in preparation to sell and move, she truly wished she had done this years before. Let 2023 be the year you transform your space! Let me help you make it happen.

RESOURCES

Shredding
As you can see from the photos, paper was a big issue. Shred Spot
in Northbrook does home pick ups and their services were invaluable!

Furniture/Books
Excess furniture was either sold or donated. To sell it, we used Facebook MarketPlace and some pieces were purchased by Modern Vibes in Evanston. Donations were picked up by The Chicago Furniture Bank which provides household furnishings for Chicagoans that face poverty.

Books were donated to Open Books, a not for profit that supports literacy
programs and distributes books in Chicago to families that lack access to reading materials. They picked up from the home which was a huge help. They also have several drop off locations which we utilized for smaller loads.

Junk
Junk pick up services were provided by Honest Junk and 1-800-Got-Junk.
Both these companies bring any items that can be recycled or donated to the
appropriate places.

Small Household Items and Clothing
Donations were picked up by Amvets. We also dropped off many items to GoodWill.

Again, please call me if I can help to transform your home into the space you've been waiting to live in!
Altogether Organized Happenings

I enjoyed participating recently on this expert panel for the Chicago Chapter of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing. I discussed the concept of the Curated Closet -- a topic I’ve also blogged about.

Please let me know if you would like help with your closet.
