Greetings YGT folks!
Building Resilience, our focus turns inward this week for the next tip:
Nurture a Positive View of Yourself.
We're all doing the best we can. Accept that about yourself and let that feeling of self-acceptance settle in to provide an emotional safe haven.
There's a saying among athletes and performers-
"Stay within yourself."
Meaning, don't overreach and stay within your own experience. Allow yourself to have some space to react to events and time to make a choice about how you want to respond.
Accept that you'll continue to try to do your best - which is all you can do in these challenging times. Try to identify your strengths based on past successes or what helped you overcome past challenges. Developing confidence in your ability to solve problems and trusting your instincts builds resilience, but you have to
recognize those strengths and recall them in moments of doubt.
Take time to notice your strengths this week and use them to power the change when pushing forward.
