Greetings Friends!

Town seems packed all the time, but we should have a short break now until the big Labor Day weekend.

The JAS Café had its last summer concert this past weekend and now we anticipate the Labor Day Festival Sept 4th-6th. Of course, I had to open YouTube for every entertainer besides Bonnie Raitt and Trombone Shorty!

We still have the musical Grease at the Theatre in the Park until Aug 29th.

REAL ESTATE UPDATE

The market “feels” slower and I think there is still price shock. However, there are still insane sales numbers on an off-market property.

Please note, the condo price per square foot remains very consistent for three years, but single-family homes have really declined in sales and value.

Lift One corridor soon to be transformed

Agreement anticipates three years of work before

new lift starts spinning

A view of Aspen’s Lift One corridor from above on Thursday shows the former base of Lift 1A surrounded by fencing, with the Skiers Chalet buildings downslope and poised for future relocation in the vicinity. A construction sequencing agreement for redevelopment, finalized July 31, was key to moving forward with the plans that involve multiple stakeholders. (Click Here)

Grease - Theater Aspen

(Showtimes through August 29)

There are few musicals as instantly recognizable as “Grease.” Before the first note, the audience already knows the songs, the leather jackets, the summer romance and nearly every lyric in the book. The challenge, then, is not to introduce the students of Rydell High but to remind the audience why they fell in love with these songs and this story in the first place.
