Stay With Us - We are #CedarValleyStrong
Wishing you a strong, healthy, spirit-filled week

Thank you for being an integral support to our community through the work we are doing at the Y. As we reflect on the many blessings we've seen the last three weeks, our prayer is that you feel connected to a strong and innovative community. We have learned that each day will bring new challenges and opportunities, and we are grateful to have our members and community stand with us.
Our work remains essential to the community
Meet Amyah:

She and her brother are part of our YMCA emergency child care while their mom works as a CNA at a local nursing home providing care for our most vulnerable population in the Cedar Valley. We are so grateful to be able to serve families like Amyah's during this difficult time where care for children is essential to keep front line workers available.

You can find more information regarding our emergency childcare at
Planning our future- the community will need us even more

We predict that our services will expand even more to meet deepened community needs:  students who risk falling further behind in school … parents who need childcare to return to work … teens hungry for positive role models and opportunities to develop their potential … seniors for whom social connections are vital to good health … families looking for safe, supportive places where they can be together and heal physically, mentally and emotionally … When life begins to return to normal, the community will once again turn to the Y for help. We must be ready to answer the call.

We need you, because our resilience is a reflection of our community. We are here for good.
With kindness and great hope,
Angela Widner
Chief Executive Officer
