The YMCA's Healthy Kids Day®
Saturday, May 6th, 2023!
The YMCA of GREATER SPARTANBURG is holding its annual Healthy Kids Day® to teach healthy habits to families and kids while inspiring a lifetime love of physical activity. The event is FREE and open to the community. Childhood obesity is at an all-time high, putting our youth at risk for poor health, so developing healthier habits and engaging in physical activity is more important than ever.
Our sponsor Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System and some neighborhood friends are helping us host a memorable and fun day this Saturday!
The Gathering Anglican Church and Village Wrench will be hosting free bike repair, safety, and obstacle course race, while local nonprofit WALT'S WALTZ will teach us about taking our mental health temperature, offering self-care tips, and hosting a butterfly craft table. There will be hula hooping classes, Field Games, Family Zumba, face painting, balloon art, healthy snacks, life-sized interactive games, fun runs, a Kids Nutrition booth, Hands-only CPR demonstrations, Carolina Snowball Gourmet treats, an inflatable Obstacle Course, and much, much more! Please join us for a day of enjoyment and community spirit!
