What are you thankful for? At the Y, we are thankful for YOU, and for all of our wonderful members and friends. Because of your support, we are able to help our community in many ways throughout the year:

One in four of our members join with the help of financial assistance, ensuring everyone in our community has access to wellness. We help cancer survivors gain hope and strength after treatment. We provide a place for youth to grow and thrive after school in our Youth Center. We feed thousands of children in our community so no child is denied access to food. And so much more!

During this season of giving, each Y lobby will host a Giving Tree. Grab a tag off of one of our trees and fulfill a wish-list item for a YMCA program or initiative. A giving tree like this helps the Y continue to support and strengthen our community.  Help us kick off the holiday season on November 30th with a Giving Tuesday to remember! Donate and GIVE JOY to our community.

The Y is OPEN all Holidays for 24/7 Members, just not this Thanksgiving.

We are excited to announce 24/7 access for our members! This new service is available for La Crosse Area Family YMCA Members age 18 and older. It includes access to the Wellness Center and Gym outside of normal operating hours. A special membership key fob required for entry. $10 to purchase fob, $5 monthly add on. Stop by the Member Service front desk beginning December 6th to enroll.

NEW DIRECTOR OF DONOR DEVELOPMENT

It is with great pleasure that we share with our members and friends that Nikki West has joined our YMCA as our new Director of Donor Development. Nikki has worked for many years in the development and philanthropy arena, including serving as the Annual Fund Officer for Portland Community College, Director of Annual Giving for Linfield College, and Director of Annual Giving for the UW-Eau Claire Foundation. She has also owned and operated her own development consulting company.  We are delighted to welcome Nikki to our Y.  Nikki is a La Crosse native, a graduate of Aquinas High School, and a graduate of UW-La Crosse. Nikki will be working directly with our donors, sponsors, and members, as she leads the Y's efforts to secure the resources needed to support our important work in the community. Watch for new initiatives and opportunities to give, coming soon.

Kick-off the holiday season and make memories with your family for this year’s Jingle Bell Run and Rudolph’s Dash. This event includes a 5 Mile, 5K and kids run – something for the whole family. Each registration includes a long sleeve t-shirt and Jingle Bells. All proceeds for this event benefit the Y Annual Campaign which supports programs like LIVESTRONG program for cancer survivors in our community.
