Aquatic Therapy Program
Join our Aquatic Therapy Program in partnership with UNCW’s Recreation Therapy program, a 6-week warm-water program designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and functional movement for individuals with chronic conditions such as arthritis, Parkinson’s disease, fibromyalgia, joint pain, or balance challenges. Participants work one-on-one with UNCW students under the supervision of Professor Donna Mooneyham, MS, LRT/CTRS, with individualized therapy plans tailored to personal goals.
The program requires full attendance and includes a land-based intake on Monday, March 9, followed by in-pool sessions on Monday, March 16, 23, 30 and Thursday, April 6, 13, 20, with two session options (1:15–2:00 pm or 2:15–3:00 pm). Splish Splash Story Time | Feb 27
Enjoy some quality family time with a learn to swim/water safety story by the pool followed by 30 minutes of water play/ exploration. This is a great opportunity for parents to introduce young children to the pool and learn how to stay safe around water. Parents should plan on swimming with their child. Learn More
