At the Y, we believe that children learn best through play. Our half day preschool program is for ages 3-5 and is designed to develop children's self-esteem and self-image through learning and sharing in a fun, structured environment.

2026 EmergeOrtho 5k

Come run with us this spring! The EmergeOrtho 5K is a celebratory end-of-season race for the YMCA's Girls on the Run and STRIDE youth running programs. All proceeds benefit the Girls on the Run and STRIDE Council of Coastal Carolina.

Narwhals Summer Swim Team

This summer swim program introduces kids ages 18 and under to a team experience in the Wilmington Summer Swim League. Swimmers practice at Robert Strange Pool, are grouped by age and ability, and must be able to swim half a 25-yard pool using front crawl and backstroke. Participants learn all four strokes, attend regular practices, and compete in meets. Cost is $145 for Y members.
