Honoring our Veterans
A very heartfelt thank you to those who have served our country. In honoring our veterans this month, we'd like to remind members of the military discounts available at our YMCA:

Veterans Benefits
The Y will waive our joining fee for any veteran with a military ID or proof of service.

Active Military Benefits
In partnership with the Armed Services YMCA and the Department of Defense, the Y is proud to offer memberships to eligible military families and personnel. It’s our way of giving back to those who dedicate themselves to serving our country.

What's your job here at the Y?
Healthy Living Director

How long have you been with the Y? (This one or otherwise)
I came to the Nir Family YMCA in October of 2019. Prior to relocating from Huntington, New York to Wilmington, North Carolina, I worked as the Aquatic, Fitness, & Sports Director at The Suffolk Y JCC for 7 years.

What's your favorite thing about coming to our Y?
I have been overwhelmed by the positive, helpful and fun culture and true sense of community I feel when I walk through the front doors!

What would you like Y members and staff to know about you?
My door is always open! This is the community’s YMCA and I am very collaborative in nature and am always receptive to constructive comments and suggestions in an effort to provide any and all services and programs to support the staff and the members!

How do you like to spend your spare time?
In my spare time, you will find me enjoying time with my family and friends, working out, boating, hiking, traveling, and enjoying the culture and restaurants in the Wilmington area.
