YMCA Supports Hurricane Florence Relief Efforts
In response to the impact our community has been faced with, here are a few local relief efforts to support those who were affected by Hurricane Florence.

Right now the Y is partnering with  Cape Fear Volunteer Center  to connect individuals, families, organizations and service groups to those who need help in recovering from the effects of Hurricane Florence. Volunteer opportunities include debris cleanup, water and food delivery, and general disaster assistance.  Learn More...

Experience MELT
Y members and guests - it's time to experience MELT! This all-levels class will use a MELT Soft Roller to simulate manual therapy. Learn how to eliminate stress before it causes chronic aches, pains, and unwanted signs of aging. For more information about MELT go to meltmethod.com.

You're Never Too Old to Learn How to Swim For Life!
Want to learn how to swim but don’t know where to start? Join us for our fall Swim for Life event October 29 th through November 2 nd . This event is FREE to everyone in the community from the ages of 5 to adult. Swim For Life is led by a certified instructor and introduces participants to basic swimming skills and water safety.

Frequent FlYer
Congrats to Harue Murphy on being our Frequent FlYer for the month of September. Harue can be found here on the pickleball court most weekends and several other days during the week. She has a killer backhand is known for her great playing and contagious laughter! Harue receives bragging rights and a YMCA t-shirt for getting to the Midtown Y more than other members this month.

Don't forget to scan your card at the front desk. Members can only win once per month during the year but will be competing for the 2018 Frequent FlYer title.
