Temporary Phone and Email Outages
Over the past few days we have experienced some interruption in our phone and email service as we transition into the Nir Family YMCA. Our team is working as quickly as we can to resolve these issues. In the meantime, we encourage members to check our website for information.
Parking Lot Update
On Monday, January 14th we will need to close the roundabout area (marked above in blue) to finish the parking lot curbing near the retention pond. During this time, members will not be able to travel between the main parking lot and overflow parking lot areas. If the main parking lot is full, please exit Market Street and enter through 29th Street to access our overflow parking area. Sidewalks will be open for members to access the main entrance via 29th Street.

During this time we will add temporary handicap spaces to accommodate members' needs.

Additional Parking Spaces
Based on the early success of our grand opening we are evaluating the parking needs on our campus. Please continue to check our website for updates.

Additional Handicap Parking Spaces
Please know that while our parking lot is up to code, we noticed the need for more handicap parking spaces and have submitted a request to add more permanent handicap spaces.

The Nir Family YMCA will unveil its new Imagination Playground™ on Wednesday, January 16th from 9:30am-10:30am. The Imagination Playground ™ features a collection of oversized blue foam parts that allows children to use their imagination as they build and re-build play structures. The innovative play equipment has been donated by The CarMax Foundation and national non-profit KaBOOM! Together, they will help Wilmington encourage play everywhere, making it easier for kids to get the childhood they deserve, one filled with balanced and active play, so they can thrive.

Kids 12 months and older, and their caregivers, are invited to “unwrap” the new play equipment and be the first to interact and play with it.

This event is FREE and open to anyone in the community.
