SERVING HEROES
The Y will welcome a Mobile Veterans Center (MVC) on-site at the A. C. Lewis YMCA, November 8-10. Please help spread the word to local Veterans about this service coming to Baton Rouge. The MVC will be available to provide Veterans with readjustment counseling.

We will kick-off celebrating our heroes with a pastalaya lunch on November 8, that will be open to community members and will begin at 11:30am. Lunch will be served outside near the MVC for walk-up service at the A. C. Lewis YMCA, 350 South Foster Drive and the first 150 community members will be served.
HOLIDAY CAMP
Children can join us this Thanksgiving break for our Holiday Camp! Holiday camp is open for children ages 4-13, and camp will be from 7 am- 6pm at the following locations:

A. C. Lewis YMCA
C. B. Pennington Jr. YMCA
Paula G. Manship YMCA
Dow Westside YMCA
Americana YMCA
BEYOND THE GREEN GOLF TOURNAMENT
We would like to thank all volunteers, sponsors, participants and staff for helping make this years Beyond the Green Golf Tournament a success. The tournament hosted 27 teams and raised $62,366 to support the Ys efforts to improve Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.

PICKLEBALL CHAMPIONS
We would like to congratulate the Executive Director of the Americana YMCA, Laura O’Brien, and Tennis Pro, Ronnie Walters, of the YMCA Lamar Tennis Center. Both brought home gold medals from the Louisiana Senior Olympics Pickleball tournament! O’Brien finished on top in Ladies Singles. Ronnie and his doubles partner, Gary Beltowski, finished first in Men’s doubles. Both earned spots to compete in the National Olympics in Fort Lauderdale in 2022.
ANGEL TREE
This year will be our 18th year providing children with Christmas gifts through Angel Tree!

If you would like to help a child in need this Christmas, starting on November 15 you can stop by your local Y and select an Angel to purchase a gift for. Bring the gift unwrapped back to any location by December 10 and we will take care of the rest.

If you or someone you know is in need of assistance with Christmas this year, please click here to apply for assistance. Applicants who are approved will be contacted by December 5.
