Current Pool Crazy
Wednesday 5:30-6:15pm Family Pool

Get some great, low-impact, non-weightbearing exercise and build your core while you’re at it! Come join us in the current pool for a fun workout “Against the Current” in the lazy river. Not only will your legs get a great workout, you’ll be building core muscles, increasing your endurance levels and overall body strength. We’ll mostly be walking, all different ways, doing some sideways crazy things and occasionally use some pool equipment to enhance your workout. Listen to great music and spice up your walk for a change! Water shoes are a MUST in this class.
Shallow Water Aqua Fit

Competitive Pool

A great low impact, high energy, high intensity workout. Be prepared to have fun, listen to great music and be challenged while you use the resistance of the water, cardio exercises and various pieces of pool equipment to improve your flexibility, balance, range of motion, core strength, muscle tone and cardiovascular endurance. This class is perfect for any experience level. No swim experience is necessary, but water shoes are highly recommended.
Deep Water High Intensity Water Fitness

Take it up a level! A high energy, high intensity, no impact workout targeting all the major muscles. This class, for all levels of experience, begins with a brief warm-up, moves right into strength training then 20-30 minutes of cardio/interval training and finishes off with a relaxing comprehensive cooldown. With regular attendance, you WILL improve your flexibility, balance, range of motion, core strength, muscle tone and cardiovascular endurance. Multiple pieces of pool equipment will be used in each class to enhance your workout. No swim experience is necessary, but comfort in deep water is a must. Flotation belts are provided by the YMCA and must be worn during this class.
Meet Instructor Janet
Although I am a recent transplant to the Beaver Dam area, I’ve been teaching water fitness for more than 20 years and have multiple certifications in water fitness training. My expertise lies in making my participants feel comfortable no matter what their fitness or experience levels may be. I have two grown sons and my boyfriend and I live in Fox Lake. When I am not at the pool, you’ll find me kayaking in the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter. I am also an avid Star Wars fan and love a great science fiction story!
