The Watertown Area YMCA is excited to announce we are reopening this Wednesday, May 20th!
As we prepare to reopen our doors, please be assured that your safety is our number one priority. We’re following guidelines from health experts and local officials to ensure that our facilities meet the highest standards for hygiene and safety, and we have modified our policies and services to facilitate safe physical and social distancing practices.

What will the Y look like when we reopen?

As shared in previous communications, when the Y reopens, things will be different. Here are some of the changes to expect:

  • Access to Y services during this initial reopen phase will be by online reservation only and services will be limited to manage group sizes and maintain social distancing.

  • Facility hours have been adjusted and special times will be reserved for access of vulnerable members.

  • Staff will be required to follow a specific check-in process (including a temperature check) to ensure the Y remains a safe environment for all.

  • Additional cleaning materials have been placed throughout the building for easy access. And as always, staff will be following a strict cleaning protocol that ensures our facility and equipment remains clean and safe for our members.

These are just a few of the changes you'll notice, but to give you a better idea of what to expect, we've created a welcome back video that highlights and shows first-hand the changes you'll see. Click the image below to watch!
