Wines Around the World

YMI's spring event, Wines Around the World, is one of our two major fundraisers throughout the year.

In August, YMI will be active in 16 of the 22 schools within the HSE district. The program continues to grow! As a mentor you have a personal perspective on the impact of our program. Our May fundraiser is a fun way to pour in (wine pun!) to the organization you love and the matches we serve.

If you'd like to join us in person on Friday, May 17, tickets are still available. The VIP event is sold out, but there will be great wine to taste, food vendors to sample, and live music from 6:30-9:00 pm.

If you're not able to join us, but still looking for a way to support YMI, our silent auction is now LIVE. We have a great line-up of over 34 items this year, many of them showcasing our Fishers and Indiana community, with an option to Donate Now.

Summer Connection Events - We'll be hosting TWO summer connection events as an opportunity for mentees and mentors to come together in their time off from formal mentoring.

Save the date for the below opportunities and be on the lookout for additional details.

Meet us on June 18 at the Nickel Plate Amphitheater for The Nauti Yachtys free Tuesday concert. You'll find us gathering at the YMI tent from 7-9 pm.

Join us at uPaint Pottery, at Hamilton Town Center, on July 17 from 4-6 pm to paint a mug with your mentee. Registration coming soon!

QPR Suicide Prevention Training - It's smart to be prepared. Consider joining a Question, Persuade, Refer Suicide Prevention training. Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse and Suicide has a virtual session scheduled for June 17, 9-11 am. You can

2024-25 Kick-off to Mentoring - We know there are a few months until the next school year, but as the months get busy we're asking you to save the date for our 2024-25 school year Kick-off to Mentoring on Thursday, September 18 from 6- 7:30 pm.

It's summer!

A big "Thank you!" to all of our mentors who completed their end of the year survey. Your responses will help as YMI continues to grow and improve.

Over the next several weeks I'll be sharing individual end of year wrap-ups to all mentors so you can recognize your impact you've had on your mentee through their survey responses, and those of their guardians. In the meantime, I've shared a few mentee quotes below. It may not always feel like it, but YOU are making a difference. The YMI community is large and grateful for you!
