As Thanksgiving approaches, we would be remiss if we did not give thanks and express our gratitude to each of you for your loyalty, advocacy, and continued support. Especially during this season, it is important to note a frequently used quote, “We must not forget that the highest appreciation is not to just utter words, but to live by them. There is a calmness to life lived in Gratitude, a quiet joy.” We wish each of you the joys of this holiday season.
Since its inception, the purpose of the College & Career Expo has been to provide exposure to our Scholars of the myriad of college and career opportunities available for them to pursue. We have found that they gain so much more insight when they can speak one-on-one with college students and staff, corporate employees, and have their own specific questions answered.
Our Annual College & Career Expo and the newly-launched Pre-Apprenticeship Program ARE our mission. We are embracing what has been effective and adding new programming to further our reach and effectiveness.
We invite you to be part of the legacy of YMWIC. Join our Partners in furthering our mission of empowering and preparing our Scholars for successful and rewarding futures. Your support is integral in our growth. Become a valued YMWIC Partner, Supporter, Donor, or Volunteer by selecting our information link, volunteer link, or contact me directly. To those of you who are already committed, we value and thank you!

The YMWIC 19th Annual College & Career Expo took place on Saturday, November 9, at Henderson High School in West Chester, PA. From a YMWIC Parent:
"I attended the YMWIC College & Career Expo on Saturday, November 9th and I am definitely very glad I did. This event was indispensable not only to YMWIC Scholars but also to adults! In every workshop we attended, there was standing room only. As I moved through the crowded halls from one workshop to another, I heard many Scholars encouraging other Scholars to, “Go to this workshop, it’s really good” or, “She/he’s really good”. This is all a testament to YMWIC's selection of session topics as well as the selection of very engaging facilitators, who all seemed to keep Scholar’s energy and interest levels high. My congratulations to the YMWIC staff, I truly appreciate your dedication."
