We are deeply indebted to the community at large for turning out to support local artists through the FREE Open Studios Tour earlier this month. We cannot thank the artists enough for their fantastic efforts at educating the public about art and art-making process as well as creating beautiful exhibits of their artwork in their studios.

This moment is critical to the arts in our area.

“Boulder has always been seen as a vibrant, culturally rich city, the sort of place artists seek out and fans of the arts flock to for shows and events. And there are few things that strengthen the bonds of a community more than the arts….investing in our arts community is investing in our communal well-being. Issue 2A is providing us with the rare opportunity when we can make this investment without increasing our taxes. ”

“Boulder Weekly knows the power and widespread impact of the arts, and we want to see this community, which is known for its art and culture, put its money where its mouth is and support these important organizations and artists.”

- Boulder Weekly

"Last year Parlando School of

Musical Arts partner schools reported that students involved in their music

programs were 20% more likely to attend school; had a full letter grade higher GPA than their peers; and were 24% more likely to graduate. Arts funding available from Ballot Measure 2A will help Parlando reach more students in more schools."

- Travis Laberge, Parlando School

of Musical Arts

Please join us in making a difference! Your financial contribution of any size will help secure a future for R Gallery and continue the work done there to showcase and support local artists as a vibrant hub for the arts in downtown Boulder.

R Gallery, Open Studios, and Boulder Art Association have joined forces to continue to showcase the abundance of talent in our community. The gallery's operations are transitioning into the capable hands of both Open Studios and Boulder Art Association.

We are all committed to celebrate and propel R Gallery forward into this new chapter. The transition presents additional challenges, where your continued support will prove invaluable. Open Studios and Boulder Art Association require initial funding to cover start-up rent, staffing, and operational expenses for this exciting venture.

Your contributions, no matter the size, are immensely appreciated, and we encourage you to spread the word so that, together, we can preserve and evolve the space into the thriving local gallery that Boulder truly deserves.
