CommUNITY Conversations on Oct. 18 at Station
This school year the Board of Education will be modifying its meeting format a few times throughout the year to hold “CommUNITY Conversations with the Board of Education”. Instead of a regular Board meeting where action items are voted on, the meeting will be a topical discussion.

The first CommUNITY Conversation will be held on Oct. 18 at 7pm in the cafeteria at Station Middle School, followed by a tour of the new classroom addition. It will focus on the following topics:

  • Framework 220 Strategic Priorities (Personalized Learning & Future Readiness) and how the new classroom additions at Station and Prairie Middle Schools are positively impacting teaching and learning

  • District update on safety and security measures
Framework 220 work focuses in on strategic priorities
In his Superintendent's Report at the Oct. 3 Board meeting, Dr. Hunt shared an update on the district's strategic planning process, Framework 220. This fall the district is creating a design team for each of the six strategic priorities. Each design team will be made up of approximately a dozen staff members from the District Leadership Team. Throughout the school year, these teams will establish goals and measurable action steps under each priority, and seek community feedback, in order to determine what the district will focus on over the next few years.
