Under the direction of Program Director Ms. Kathy, members participate in creating a collaborative art piece each year to be auctioned at our annual fundraiser. Kathy traditionally presents a video she has prepared to introduce the art piece and give potential bidders a peek at how and why it was created. We are proud to say it sold for $3,200. Meet Derek, an artist and a longtime member of The Next Stop. Derek's specialty hobby is copying Van Gogh paintings. Freehand, he spends hour after hour reproducing Van Gogh's painting with much detail. They are always in great demand at The Next Stop's annual silent auction. This year's masterpiece was "Irises".
The Joy of Music
How exciting it was to have Mr. Lawrence back "in the house" recently! This time he brought his friend Mr. Bill to play percussion with him. Everyone sang and clapped along as they entertained us with familiar songs and their fun brand of comedy. We were all happy to meet Mr. Bill and enjoy our time with these two generous and talented musicians.
