GUIDELINES POSTED FOR LOW-RISK OUTDOOR AND INDOOR ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT
Ahead of the anticipated greenlight of Phase Four in the North Country, the State has posted Guidelines for the following initial categories under Phase Four:


  • LOW-RISK OUTDOOR ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT: Including outdoor zoos, botanical gardens, and other related low-risk arts and entertainment businesses and organizations.

  • LOW-RISK INDOOR ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT: Including museums, historical sites, aquariums, and other low-risk indoor arts and entertainment businesses and organizations.

  • MEDIA PRODUCTION: Media Production Activities including activities undertaken in motion picture, music, television and streaming productions on set, on location, or at any production or recording site.

If you are unsure if your operation fits one of these categories, use your NAICS code in the LOOKUP TOOL for an immediate answer.

Openings are subject to the official start of Phase Four in our region and all qualified businesses and organizations are required to affirm the relevant Guidelines and to create and have available a Safety Plan using the provided template.

We will share further word on Phase Four, and any and all further category announcements and guidelines, as they become available. 
Updated Guidelines for Sports & Recreation (Low Risk Youth Sports)
New York State issued updated guidance for Sports and Recreation. These guidelines are posted on the  Forward NY website.
An Open Conversation: Racial Inclusion, Diversity and Equality in Business
As a member of the National Initiative to Address Inequality of Opportunity, the  North Country Chamber of Commerce   is pleased to invite you and other business representatives in the region to this upcoming conversation organized by our partners at the  Business Council of N.Y.S.

"   An Open Conversation:   Racial Inclusion, Diversity and Equality in Business” is an important and necessary forum on racial equality within business. A panel with diverse experiences and viewpoints will lend expert analysis and advice on the struggles of black business owners as well as examine how all business leaders can diversify their workplace at all levels, and ensure that employees maintain an inclusive business environment that respects all employees, customers and clients.

It is FREE and open to all businesses.

Strand Center for the Arts' Summer Camps are Live!
Starting June 29th The Strand Center of the Arts will be offering summer camps.

They are following current NYS, CDC and DOH guidelines to keep everyone safe. These rules change weekly and sometimes daily and we are keeping on top of it so we can provide a safe fun filled summer for your children.
