GOVERNOR ISSUES EXECUTIVE ORDER REQUIRING ALL PEOPLE TO WEAR FACE COVERINGS IN PUBLIC
Amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has issue an Executive Order requiring all people in New York to wear a mask or a face covering when out in public and in situations where social distancing cannot be maintained.

The Executive Order goes into effect on Friday, April 17th.

A webinar, "Customs and Borders for Canadian Businesses: Getting your Trucks Across the Border During COVID-19," served as a reminder that the border is open for business and what your business needs to know to continue conducting business between QC-NY.
 
The webinar took place April 8th and featured panelist​s Garry Douglas, President/CEO of the North Country Chamber of Commerce, and Jerrod Nutt, Customs Brokerage Manager of AN Deringer, ​and was moderated by Dina Mansour, Advisor of International Market Development of the Chambre de commerce du Montréal métropolitain.
LOCAL & REGIONAL COVID-19 LOAN FUNDS
Local alternative lenders and IDA's have created new loan funds to help businesses impacted by the coronavirus.

Thank you to all of these organizations for quickly putting together these assistance programs for our small businesses and not-for-profit organizations.
THE ANNUAL DAY OF CARING HAS GONE VIRTUAL AND IS NOW A WEEK OF CARING!
Everyday from April 20th to April 25th, The United Way of the Adirondack Region , Project HELP at SUNY Plattsburgh and the Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau are encouraging the public to complete that day's volunteer opportunity.⁠

  • Showing gratitude to those frontline workers with signs, thank you notes, videos and other creative ways of saying THANK YOU
  • Calling people that may need you kindness
  • Donate or make PPE
  • Complete the census
  • Donate needed funds.

Hospital staff is working around the clock and risking their own health to care for our North Country residents. Restaurants are struggling to stay open, and people want to know how they can help others get through this challenging time.

Feed Our Frontline  is an initiative that brings it all together.

All funds raised will be used to buy meals for our frontline at area hospitals.

The  North Country Chamber of Commerce  wants to thank our incredible health care teams and provide residents and corporations with a way to show their support.
