Chapter Nominations Open in August
Please Help Shape the Future of our Beloved Chapter

Do you know a fellow member who would make a great Board member? Do you have a passion for our golf community? Do you wish to make an impact?  Your chapter needs your help!

Each September we conduct elections for our Chapter Board members according to the Bylaws, and the new Board starts in the fall on November 1st. To see who currently is serving and a full description of each role, click THIS LINK.

We have many capable members who have the skills, talent, and desire to lead our Chapter. This is your opportunity to make a positive difference, so nominate yourself or someone else for a Chapter Board position!  Here is a brief overview of the open Board positions:

Women's Golf & Travel Named
USA "Proud Promoter" for Solheim Cup 2023

Did you know that our chapter sponsor and past Chapter Board member is also the Founder/CEO of Women's Golf & Travel? Barbara Gutstadt, a long-standing member of the LPGA Amateurs (formerly EWGA), has organized several past Solheim Cup trips (this will be the fifth) along with many other international group trips around the world. For the past 10 years WGTC has been known for its emphasis on keen attention to detail, unforgettable golf, stress-free traveling, and well-organized itineraries for women, their friends and their families.

Currently there are about 20 chapter members traveling next September to the Costa Del Sol (also known as "Costa Del Golf") in southern Spain for the 2023 Solheim Cup, the women's version of the Ryder Cup. This international competition between the best women golfers of the U.S. and Europe will be held at Finca Cortesin, a luxury golf, hotel and spa resort set in the rolling hills of southern Spain between Marabella and Sotogrande, overlooking the Mediterranean on one side and the Casares Mountains on the other.

Karen Leedy, a WGTC Ambassador and past president of LPGA Amateurs FTL Chapter states, “I have gone on Barbara’s trips and have witnessed first hand her excellent professionalism and trip organization skills. LPGA Amateur members rave about their travel experiences with Barbara ” The tournament dates are September 25-28, 2023. Please check out the WGTC website for 2023 Solheim Cup trip information or contact Karen "Kiki" Leedy, Director of Client Relations.
