Trojan Wrestling took first place at Region Traditionals this past Saturday. For the first time in school history, the team has won both the duals and traditional region titles in back-to-back seasons.

Trojan Wrestling claims second straight region title

The Trojan Boys Wrestling team took first place at the traditional region meet at Pebblebrook this past Saturday. For the first time in school history, the team has won both the duals and traditional region titles in back-to-back seasons. Sutton White, Josh Smith, Judah White, Buck Merritt, George Carden, Connor Stephens, Ben Cleek, Ben Walsingham, Byron Lee, and Jacob Levy all took first place in their respective weight classes. Evan Harris, Wesley Loftin, and Nemo Strzalkowski finished second, and Jabari Elder took third. All 14 wrestlers will advance to the sectionals traditional meet at Lambert High School this Saturday.

Trojan Girls Wrestling secures second place at area traditionals

The CHS girls wrestling team took second place at the area traditionals at Columbus State University on Friday night, advancing 11 grapplers to the next round. Sierha Lopes and Madison Cooley finished as area champions. Cadence Wilson, Gabby Carnes, Bailey Moore, Journey Gray, Johana Mejia, and Maggie Dudley finished second. Elise Haueter, Amazing Ackey, and Bella Moore finished fourth. The Lady Trojans will travel to Harris County High School on Friday night to compete in the sectionals meet.

Trojan Swimming prepares for GHSA Championships

The Carrollton High School swim team will travel to the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center this Saturday to compete in the GHSA state championship. The team has qualified for 17 individual and team relay events. Prelims for each event will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the championship races around 6:00 pm.

Trojan Dance to compete at GHSA Championships Saturday

The Trojan Dance team will conclude their season this Saturday at the Macon Coliseum for the GHSA State Championship. The Trojans will compete in the afternoon session, which begins at 3:00 p.m. The hip hop group will perform 15th, and the jazz group will perform 16th, after the midway break. Trojan Basketball concludes regular season Tuesday night

The varsity girls and boys basketball teams look to finish the regular season strong tomorrow night when the Pebblebrook Falcons come to Criswell Court. The girls tip-off at 6:00 pm., followed by the boys at 7:30 pm. You can hear all the play-by-play action on the Trojan Nation Network and watch live on the NFHS Network.

Ben Scott Sports Auction Tickets On Sale Now

Tickets are on sale for Carrollton High School’s 37th annual Ben Scott Sports Auction. The auction will be held on March 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the University of West Georgia Coliseum. Admission is $125 and includes two tickets to the event as well as all-you-can-eat hors d’oeuvres and drinks throughout the night. Tickets can be purchased from a coach or booster club board member or online at the link below.

The Carrollton High School Athletic Booster Club is currently accepting nominations for the 2024 class of inductees into the Carrollton Trojan Athletic Hall of Fame. The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize the outstanding athletic achievements of Carrollton High School graduates.
