2025 Ben Scott Sports Auction Tickets are on sale NOW


The 38th annual Ben Scott Sports Auction will be held Friday, March 21, at the University of West Georgia Coliseum. Tickets are $125 and include admission for two to the event and an automatic entry into a cash raffle. The top prize is $10,000, with other drawings for $250, $750, and $1,000. Trojan tennis kicks off their season with success at home tournament


The CHS girls and boys tennis teams finished as runners-up in the gold bracket at the annual Trojan Invitational this past weekend. The girls team went 2-1, defeating Starr's Mill and Marietta before falling to Pace Academy in the championship match. The boys team also finished 2-1, beating defending 3A state champion Columbus and Early County, but lost to Harrison in their championship match. Both teams will play at home against LaGrange this Thursday, Feb. 13.

Trojan boys wrestling advances six to GHSA Traditional Championships


On Saturday, the Carrollton boys wrestling team took the long journey to Valdsota High School to compete in the GHSA Sectionals tournament. The team had six wrestlers advance to the state finals: Jordan Bhony, Sutton White, Judah White, Wesley Loftin, George Carden, and Connor Stephens. These athletes will compete this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15-16, at the Macon Coliseum for the GHSA Traditional Championship.

Trojan girls wrestling sends strong contingent to GHSA Traditional Championships


The Carrollton girls wrestling team had a strong showing at the GHSA Sectionals on Friday at Carver-Columbus High School, sending six wrestlers to the state championships and two more as alternates. Bailey Moore and Hailey Lussier won their respective weight classes at the tournament. Elise Haueter, Journey Gray and Madison Cooley finished second, while Cadence Wilson took fourth place. Ava Hulsey and Johanna Mejia earned fifth place and will be alternates. The six qualifiers will compete this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15-16, at the Macon Coliseum for the GHSA Traditional Championship.

Trojan boys and girls basketball continue in region tournament Tuesday


Tournament time has arrived for the Carrollton High School basketball teams.

The boys clinched a GHSA playoff berth with a 58-53 victory over Douglas County. They will face Westlake in the region tournament semifinals on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 8:30 p.m. The top-seeded Carrollton girls will play Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Both games will be played at East Coweta High School. Both teams will play again on Thursday, Feb. 13. Time and implications depend on the results of Tuesday's games.
