Trojan boys golf finishes runner-up at GHSA championships


The CHS varsity boys golf team finished as the Class AAAAAA runner-up, falling short on the second playoff hole at the GHSA championships played at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club. The team posted a two-day total of 585, the program's second-best score at the state championships. Senior Chris Watts placed sixth individually. Edward Fleck and MacKinnley Yarbrough tied for ninth. All Trojan golfers finished in the top 50.

Trojan girls golf earns top-four finish at GHSA championships


The CHS girls golf team concluded its season with a fourth-place finish at the GHSA Class AAAAAA State Championship, played at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.

The Lady Trojans were in eighth place after the first day of competition and rallied to secure a top-four spot. Mady Simpson placed 12th individually, followed by Ryan Weber in 18th and senior Adeline Laney in 25th.

Nail to lead the CHS boys track and field program

CARROLLTON, GA - A familiar name within the Carrollton High School track and field program will take over as head coach, succeeding coach Justin Jones, who will continue in his full-time role as an assistant principal at CHS. Parker Nail will lead the boys track and field team while continuing to serve as the head boys and girls cross country coach.

CHS unified volleyball wins second straight championship

ATLANTA, GA - The Carrollton High School unified volleyball team won its second consecutive gold medal Saturday at the State Summer Games, hosted by Special Olympics of Georgia and Emory University. Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team.

Trojan lacrosse standouts compete in all-star game


CHS juniors Sam Robinson and Hutch Jennings competed in the DiVarsity All-Star Game on Sunday, May 18, at Sprayberry High School. DiVarsity is the premier all-star event for GHSA lacrosse. Sam had an assist, and Hutch added a goal in the game for their team.
