Girls wrestling celebrates seniors over holidays

Trojan Girls Wrestling celebrated seniors Johana Mejia, Cadence Wilson, Bailey Moore, Kush Patel, Vanessa Lofton, and Journey Gray on Dec. 28. The team also recognized the 100 career win mark for Madison Cooley and Bailey Moore. The Trojans competed in a quad match at home, stacking up two wins before falling short to Cleveland, the 3rd ranked team in the country.

Lady Trojans ring in the new year with big wins

The Lady Trojan basketball team dominated over the holiday break, clinching victories in both games of its Christmas Showcase. Their momentum continued with a commanding regional win over Chapel Hill and a victory against New Manchester. On Friday, the team will honor senior girls and boys at home immediately following the girls' game, which begins at 6 p.m.

Wrestling wraps up winter break strong

Trojan Boys Wrestling wrapped up winter break on the road at the Calhoun Christmas Classic on Dec. 28. The team finished 2nd out of 17 teams. Leading the way for the Trojans was tournament champion Connor Stephens at 157. Judah White (132) and Wesley Lofton (138) finished second, while Jordan Bhony (106) and Sutton White (113) finished third. The Trojans will be back at home on Jan. 9 to compete for the region title and celebrate their seniors.
