Trojan Season Ticket Holders

Playoff tickets for Friday's round three playoff game at Grisham Stadium were sent to your email on file on Saturday, Nov. 18. Please check your inbox and spam/junk folder for an email from [email protected]. You have until Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 9pm to purchase your reserved seats. Any unclaimed seats will be released to the general public on Thursday, Nov. 23 at 9am. Regular-season parking passes are still valid during the playoff games. 

All schools and district offices are closed this week for the Thanksgiving holidays. Therefore, if you have any questions or issues, please email [email protected] or contact CCS Communications at 404-964-3173.

Trojans show out at Girls Night Out

The Trojan girls basketball team hosted one of the largest girls basketball showcases in the state this past Saturday. Fourteen total games were played in both gyms on campus and the Lady Trojans played in the nightcap. They defeated Cartersville 74-27, forcing 30 turnovers and having all ten varsity players score in the contest. Madison Swint led all scorers with 16 points, Mya Jones had 12 points, and Miyah Homes and Daija Preston had 10 points each. The Lady Trojans are back in action today on the road against #4 McEachern, and #1 Grayson on Saturday night at Jonesboro High School.

Trojan softball adds eight players to All-Region Team

Postseason accolades came in last week for the Trojan softball team for the All-Region 2-AAAAAAA team. After a terrific junior campaign, Amira Johnson was named Region Player of the Year. Seniors Audrey Lassetter and Makynna Goodman, Junior Alayna Parks, Sophomore Tay Simmons, and Freshman Kaitie Thornton made first-team all-region at their respective positions. Carly Jane-Jordan and Maycie Guest, both freshmen, made second-team all-region.

CHS girls wrestling celebrates Senior Night

Trojan girls wrestling honored their senior managers and wrestlers under the lights at Cole Field last Thursday night. On the mat, the Trojans fell to a talented Central Phenix (AL) team and defeated New Manchester and Alexander. After competing in six matches in the first two weeks of the season, the Trojans will take a mini-break and next compete at the Big 10 Duals at Woodward Academy on December 2.

Trojan swim qualifies in six more state events

Trojan swim participated in the Central High School Mane Event meet last Thursday night and qualified for state in six more events.

Individual qualifiers were: Vito Cappiello, 200 IM, Ryder Griffin, 200 Free, and Ellie Williamson, 100 Free and 200 IM.

Relay team qualifiers were: Girls 200 Medley Relay, Emma Cook, Emma McBride, Mia Perez, Ellie Williamson, and Boys 200 Free, Miguel Simon-DeFeo, Daniel Neill, Ryder Griffin, and Vito Cappiello.

The Trojans will be back to compete on December, 8 at the Harris County Winter Invitational.
