Trojan softball program enjoys record-breaking week

Last week, the CHS softball team made history with home run milestones on two occasions. Senior Amira Johnson set the all-time home run record with her 35th career homer against Westlake on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Then, on Saturday, Sept. 28, sophomore Payton Johnson broke the single-game home run record by hitting three home runs in a 14-1 victory over Haralson County. The Trojans aim to carry this momentum into their game tonight, Sept. 30, against Heard County, and on Tuesday, Oct. 1, against LaGrange.

Trojan Esports kicks off fall season with multiple wins

Trojan Esports kicked off the fall season with multiple wins this week, setting a strong pace for the season. On Tuesday, the Street Fighter team edged out Garnet Valley High School (PA) in a close 3-2 victory. Keallon Kennedy Cook, Darius Mekande, and Iain Gray led the team to the win.

Trojan Cheer programs start season off strong

Over the weekend, the varsity, JV, and middle school cheer teams competed in their first competitions of the season. Varsity cheer took home 2nd place at the Buford Invitational. JV and middle competed at Central High School and took 4th place in their respective divisions. The varsity cheer team will be back in action this weekend as they compete at Allatoona High School.

Trojan volleyball wraps up regular season this week

The CHS varsity volleyball team is back in action tomorrow, Oct. 1, as they host Union Grove and Allatoona for Carrollton Therapeutics Night, which will celebrate community members with special needs. The ceremony will begin immediately after the first game, which is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. The Trojans will finish the regular season on Thursday at Union Grove before hosting the region tournament next Thursday, Oct. 10, at Criswell Court.

Homecoming Week just around the corner

Carrollton City Schools will celebrate Homecoming Week beginning next Monday, Oct. 7, concluding with the Homecoming game on Friday, Oct. 11, vs. Chapel Hill. Trojans open region play at home this Friday vs. Westlake

After a week off, the undefeated Carrollton Trojans return home to face region rival Westlake. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., and gates will open at 6:00 p.m. Be in your seat by 7:10 p.m. for a special pregame ceremony you will not want to miss.
