YOWA held an election last year to vote in new members to the Board of Directors. Newly appointed Board Members began their term on March 1, 2024 and will serve for three years.

Join NOWRA in Ohio for the 2025 Onsite Wastewater Mega-Conference!

Mark your calendars! NOWRA's 2025 Onsite Wastewater Mega-Conference will take place October 19–22, 2025 at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Sandusky, Ohio. Hosted in cooperation with the Ohio Onsite Wastewater Association (OOWA), this annual event is a collaborative effort between the National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association (NOWRA), the National Association of Wastewater Technicians (NAWT), and the State Onsite Regulators Association (SORA).

MassDEP Update

YOWA Board of Directors Member Dan Ottenheimer provides a Spring 2025 update on MassDEP, including the announcement of a new Director and the development of a new guidance document to help local health officials implement the recent Massachusetts law that went into effect in February to allow Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).

MASSTC Resources for Cape Cod Septic System Maintenance

Eighty-five percent of Cape Cod homeowners have a septic system. MASSTC.org offers a wealth of free resources to help homeowners on Cape Cod stay informed about how to properly maintain their system and understand local regulations.
