Meet the URCC Board
Director Marc Koczwara
Today we are introducing you to URCC Director Marc Koczwara. Marc serves as Adult Education Director at
Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School
in Franklin and he has been a long-time member of the Board of Directors. He is instrumental in facilitating our successful Taste of the Region event which is held at Tri-County every October.
Tri-County is a vocational educational facility serving 11 towns across 3 Massachusetts counties. Since joining Tri-County in 2000, Marc has held various academic and vocational positions. Marc is responsible for managing all aspects of the post-secondary and adult education programs offered at Tri-County from introduction of new programs, marketing, registration, curriculum design to meet state licensing requirements, financial aid, human resources management, purchasing, systems application, budgeting, and community relations. He is an active member of the Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators and is a member of its committee for post-secondary and continuing education.
Before joining Tri-County, Marc spent 15 years in sales, product management, and marketing for a variety of manufacturers in the Fire/Life Safety Industry. He was also the owner of a logistics and packaging company specializing in moving high-value items requiring custom packaging and specialty shipping to destinations around the globe.
Marc lives with his wife Patricia in Milford and has three sons, Kevin, Michael and Daniel. He has been actively involved in his community as a coach and past president of the Milford Pop
Warner football organization, and is also active in the Marian High School community.

will be facilitating his Networking Secrets for Success seminar just for us at the Chamber office in Plainville.
So many of us are out there networking at least a couple of nights each week. But it couldn't hurt to get some tips from a professional networker.
In his seminar, Rob will discuss why we network and how we go about choosing a networking event. He will help us prepare to attend, telling us what we should bring to the event.
Also, he will give us valuable advice on starting the conversation and so importantly what we should and should NOT talk about.

Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation Awards $75,000 in Grants to Eight Attleboro Area Non-profits
Bristol County Savings Bank
(BCSB), through its charitable foundation, recently awarded $75,000 to eight non-profit organizations in the Attleboro, Massachusetts, area at a ceremony which recently took place at the Holiday Inn Taunton. In total, the Bank presented $353,600 in grants to 44 organizations in the Attleboro/Taunton region, the New Bedford/Dartmouth region, the Fall River region and the greater Pawtucket, Rhode Island region and surpassed $22 million in total charitable commitments given since the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation’s (BCSCF) inception in 1996.

he organizations in the Attleboro area that received grants from the Foundation are as follows:
ARC of Bristol County
($12,000);
Attleboro Area Interfaith Collaborative
($10,000);
Community Visiting Nurse Agency, Inc.
($6,000);
Hockomock YMCA
($12,000);
Horizons for Homeless Children
($2,500);
New Hope
($20,000);
Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School
($7,500); and
Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Attleboro District
($5,000). Patrick J. Murray, Jr., President of the BCSCF and President & CEO of BCSB, awarded the grants to the organizations. Also participating were representatives from the BCSCF board and the Bank’s area branches.
“Our mission is to support the communities we serve by making them a better place to live and work,” said Murray. “Though our investments in local charitable organizations, combined with our community partnerships and volunteer activities, we do our best to fulfill that purpose.”
Bristol County Savings Bank is an active supporter in the communities in which it serves. The Foundation was established in 1996 as part of the Bank’s 150
th
Anniversary celebration. Its purpose is to fund needs that contribute to the economic and the social well-being of the people and institutions located in the greater Taunton/Attleboro region, the greater New Bedford/Dartmouth region, the Fall River region and the greater Pawtucket, Rhode Island region, with particular emphasis in the areas of education and literacy, economic development and housing for the low- to moderate-income population.
