Welcome from the Committee Co-Chairs!
Dear YPS member,
We sincerely hope that you and your loved ones are safe during the pandemic. Though we are sad that we are unable to connect in person this year in Las Vegas, we are thankful that the ASNR has effectively converted our planned YPS content to the Virtual Meeting platform and look forward to this new innovation. We strongly encourage you to participate to the extent you are able and register for the ASNR Annual Meeting. It has been a privilege and a pleasure to serve the YPS as co-chairs this year. As always, we welcome your thoughts and suggestions for new ways to further your interests within the ASNR and within the broader neuroradiology community.
Sincerely,
Paul Bunch and Courtney Tomblinson

Virtual Meeting Overview
Thanks to our hard-working ASNR staff and the flexibility of our members, the ASNR 2020 program has shifted to a wholly virtual format with a wide range of great content. For the first time, all of the content will be available online to registered attendees, so be sure to make plans to attend some or all of the sessions online. It’s not too late to register if you haven’t already!

- Wende Gibbs, M.D. (Mayo Clinic)
- Christine Glastonbury, M.D. (UCSF)

Virtual Mentoring Program
Building on the success of the annual YPS Mentoring Reception, we have introduced the ASNR Mentorship Program, which is new this year. Despite switching from an in-person to virtual meeting format, there has been great participation by mentors and mentees. We have successfully matched 70 mentees to talented volunteer mentors this year, who will be meeting virtually during the meeting week for one-on-one mentorship. We hope this program will become a permanent YPS offering at future annual meetings, and we are grateful to all the participants!

Thanks for tuning in to this May 2020 edition of the ASNR YPS newsletter. We hope to have additional editions every 3-4 months to keep the YPS community informed about new developments of the committee and getting all the early professionals involved in the society. Enjoy the annual meeting and feel free to reach out if you have ideas or suggestions for YPS or the newsletter.
