Mid-Season Auditions - Invite your friends to join OAYO!
Know someone who would be a good fit to join OAYO?
Pass the information below along to them!
We'd love some more students in OAYO! Word-of-mouth is the best way folks hear about us. We appreciate the help in getting the word out about mid-season auditions! Feel free to share with your school, All-State ensemble musicians, private lesson studios, or with anyone that may be interested in joining us!
--------
OAYO is happy to announce that mid-season auditions are now live! We are accepting auditions for select instruments and ensembles for new students to join us in our Spring 2026 semester, beginning in January 2026.
How do I audition?
Step 1) Read the information on our ensembles, tuition, audition policies, and more on our website at oayo.unomaha.edu
Step 2) Prepare the audition packet (linked here) for the most advanced ensemble you wish to be considered for.
For example:
- A bassist that wishes to be considered for YP or YCS will only prepare YP's audition packet.
- A bassist that only wishes to be considered for YCS will prepare YCS's audition packet.
Step 3) Record your audition videos as directed in the packet and upload them to the Submittable page HERE!
If you have any questions or issues during the audition process, email Cassie at cfritch@unomaha.edu!
When are auditions due?
Auditions will close on December 28th at 11:59 pm. Late auditions will not be considered.
As mid-season auditions will be listened to as they are received and results will be sent on a rolling basis, we encourage you to submit an audition as soon as you're ready to do so.
When can I expect results?
Results will be sent via email as soon as they're made! If you have submitted an audition do not hear anything from us by January 5th, contact us ASAP.
What happens if I get selected for an OAYO ensemble?
Further details will be sent in acceptance letters! Registration, deposits, and tuition setup must occur before students participate in the first rehearsal on January 11th.
** Note that tuition is pro-rated for those joining us for the Spring semester: tuition totals will be half of those listed on our website.
