Do you hold a donor-advised fund (DAF)/charitable fund at a large national brokerage such as Fidelity, Schwab or Merrill Lynch?
Did you know that YVCF also holds DAFs and that there are many advantages to having a fund at a local community foundation?
Fees Reinvested into the Community
Fund fees directly support our organization and the locally-focused, mission-driven work we do, thereby also supporting our local economy and workforce. Assets held in funds at YVCF allow us to address the needs of the Yampa Valley and make impactful investments to help sustain our vibrant community. Additionally, our fees are competitive with the major institutions, so our clients get a lot more value for the fees that are charged on funds.
Local Expertise and Connection
We have a deep knowledge and understanding of the local nonprofit landscape and community issues. We can direct you to funding needs where your charitable donations will have the greatest impact, while aligning with your personal passions and interests.
Personalized Service
We offer personalized philanthropic support, helping donors align their giving with their passions, value, and goals. Our team is extremely responsive and we take great pride in the level of service we deliver.
Investment for Growth, with Accountability
YVCF's funds are invested through our partnership with Syntrinsic Investment Counsel, allowing for the value of funds to grow over time, with no tax consequence to you. We have personal relationships with the principles from Syntrinsic, who come to YVCF twice per year to share performance reports and capital market forecasts with donors.
Streamlined Processes and Systems, Flexible Giving Options
It is simple to establish a DAF at YVCF. We can grant from DAFs to any qualified 501c3 in the U.S., including nonprofits in another community. We have an online Portal where you can access your fund information or make grant requests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We would love the opportunity to partner with you in your philanthropy. If you'd like more information or are interested in moving your DAF to Yampa Valley Community Foundation, contact Traci Hiatt at traci@yvcf.org or 970-439-4448.
