WZ Giving Circle

Spring Grants

The WZ Giving Circle is a group of local philanthropists who pool tax-deductible donations to help community members in crisis. During their recent spring meeting, $34,996 was granted to the following nonprofits assisting clients, including:

$5,000 for a Northwest Colorado Center for Independence client needing a wheelchair trailer for mobility
$5,000 for the Advocates of Routt County program of Better Tomorrow, for vehicle purchase assistance for a survivor of domestic violence
$5,000 to ACTSS, for service dog training for a client with a disability
$2,944 for a client of The Health Partnership temporarily unable to attend work due to her grandson's illness

As Giving Circle membership grows, so does our capacity to help. New members are always welcome!

The purpose of this new fund is to support the mission of First Impressions of Routt County, to provide funding for early childhood education and child care providers in Routt County and for tuition assistance for early childhood education and child care for low-income families in Routt County.
