Summer of Service

YVCHR's Summer of Service is underway! Youth across Hampton Roads have been out in force, investing hard work and heart work to strengthen their communities. With 6 camp sessions complete and 3 remaining, we are incredibly grateful for the partnerships that make these transformative experiences possible for middle and high school students.

We are deeply grateful to the organizations that have opened their doors, shared their missions, and empowered our youth to serve with purpose:

So All May Eat (S.A.M.E.), Serve the City, Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center, Mariners' Museum & Park, Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, C. Waldo Scott Center, Cole's Horse Autism Therapy Station (C.H.A.T.S.), Edmarc, Mercy Chefs, SWIFT Research Center, Portsmouth City Park, Nauticus, Habitat for Humanity & Yorktown ReStore, the Muscarelle Museum of Art, Saunders Elementary School, Newsome Park Elementary School, Lasagna Love, Nimmo Community Garden, Roc Solid Foundation, Greater Hampton Roads Diaper Bank, Eastern Shore Chapel Food Pantry, Parish Day School, ForKids, First Landing State Park, Virginia Beach Atlantic Treatment Plant, Norfolk Botanical Gardens, and Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center.

Together, we're building work and life skills, fostering empathy, and inspiring the next generation to embrace a lifetime ethic of service!

Join the international network of YVC alumni and connect with other professionals and community leaders while representing Hampton Roads!
