Kudos to Logan for being a standout volunteer with YVCHR! Throughout his time in middle school, he has served over 130 hours at a variety of projects. From building (and delivering!) beds for local children to preparing and serving food to those in need, Logan is eager to be part of the action. Whether constructing benches for schools (pictured top left), supporting children with special needs at respite events, or collecting trash to protect our waterways, he brings a positive attitude and a can-do spirit.
When asked what he likes most about volunteering with YVCHR, he said it is "the social aspect—meeting new people and building friendships through our work." In his words, "Being a part of YVC has changed my perspective in many ways. The biggest is that now I understand how even just a few dedicated people can make a massive difference in their community."
Logan's favorite experience so far was attending the 2024 YVC Summit in Virginia Beach (pictured top right in red), a 2-day conference that combined workshops, service projects, and connection with peers from across the YVC network. As he heads to high school, we're excited to see how Logan will continue to give back to his community in meaningful ways while setting a strong example for his peers.
