YW-NYC Launches Online Resources Collection In Response To #StayatHome COVID-19 Crisis

Letter from the CEO |  April 13, 2020
Dear Friends & Family,

I write to you today to share the YW-NYC Online Free-Sources webpage created to help families and children during this difficult time of social distancing and remote learning. Like many of you, members of the YW family are grieving the loss of relatives, friends, and colleagues due to the virus. Our dedicated staff are focused on the wellbeing of the 1,500 children and young women involved in our programs. We have begun providing remote learning opportunities for our students and will continue for as long as schools are closed.

With our YW community in mind, we have compiled free online resources for families, including educational tools and videos for homeschooling, virtual field trip tours for children, counseling information, links to unemployment assistance and new paid leave laws, and so much more to help us de-stress, get moving and stay informed. This is an evolving list of resources and will be updated regularly. We welcome suggestions and additions; please email communications@ywcanyc.org .

We hope that you, your family, friends and colleagues are safe and well, and are taking the necessary precautions to keep it that way. We are facing a crisis the likes of which we have never experienced. Let’s work together to ensure everyone has access to the necessary resources to help them through this difficult time. Please share our online resources collection.

Sincerely,
Maureen Friar
CEO of the YWCA of the City of New York
