The Zone starts August 12, and we're ready to welcome students back! Thanks to a generous grant from the Hastings Evening Lion Club, we have been able to purchase new equipment for The Zone and invest in revitalizing our clubs. Students can look forward to a new air hockey game and magnetic chess boards as well as additional bracelet-making materials and Just Dance!
As usual, The Zone will be open from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. On Wednesdays, it will be open from 2:30 pm to 6 pm. If Hastings Middle School is in session, The Zone is in session, providing a safe, fun, and engaging place for middle school students after school.
You may have read we're currently hiring AmeriCorps members to serve at The Zone! AmeriCorps members help run clubs, assist with student check-in, and build positive relationships with youth. Upon successfully completing their required service hours, members also earn an education scholarship.
