Harvest Sunday -

South Baton Rouge

Church of Christ

For more than 16 years, the South Baton Rouge

Church of Christ has sponsored Harvest Sunday to

benefit the YWCA community. Congregation members

gathered generous gifts of food to be shared with the

families enrolled in the YWCA Early Head Start

programs. As always, we thank South Baton Rouge

Church of Christ for its generosity and outreach

support through its plentiful gifts. We are especially

blessed to see the children from the church so

enthusiastically involved. Below are a few photos from

the event. On behalf of our families, the YWCA is proud to be a partner with Pastor Kin Ellis and South Baton Rouge Church of Christ for their giving and sharing this Thanksgiving season.

Thank You Grandparents

YWCA Greater Baton Rouge saluted its grandparents in amemorable brunch and program celebrating national Grandparents Day. Early Head Start grandparents were honored with a hearty meal and enjoyed a fun program and art activities centered on their love for their grandchildren enrolled in the program. After the event, they visited with numerous non-profit organizations who provided giveaways and resources. One of the non-profits included free computer tablets for those qualifying. Special thanks to all the grandmothers and grandfathers who joined in the celebration.

Healthy Blue

Community Health Fair Block Party.

Special thanks to YWCA Board President

Upcoming Holiday Gifts for Children in YWCA Early Head Start

Head Start YWCA Greater Baton Rouge salutes the resounding efforts of the Baton Rouge Bar Association's Young Lawyers Committee for its generosity in donating holiday gifts for our young children. Each year, the newest members of the Baton Rouge Bar Association organize this great effort, and the impact is immeasurable. This year, gifts are being donated to 115 children! We also thank the Baton Rouge Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority for their gathering of gifts and volunteer efforts. Donations have also been received from Circuit Breakers Electric and 100 Black Women of Metropolitan Baton Rouge. From the YWCA board of directors, the staff, and the parents, we want to express our gratitude and appreciation.
