YWCA Boulder County Weekly Update
We have determined a phased approach to reopening will ensure our alignment with Colorado Public Health guidelines.

This first phase will begin in early May:
On May 11, we will reopen part of our Infant Development Center (IDC). We will be contacting families directly who currently have contracts with the YWCA.

On May 18, we will reopen part of our Pre-K program. We will be contacting families directly who currently have contracts with the YWCA.

We will not be able to offer traditional drop-in services at this time and our hours will be Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no Saturday hours. We are working closely with Colorado Public Health to determine a safe reopening process.

If you are in need of child care and would like to be included on the interest list, please email the Director of Children's Alley, Kate Hise, at: khise@ywcaboulder.org .

This phased reopening is to ensure we are in compliance with Colorado Public Health and their recommendation and requirements for social distancing and consistency of children being served. During this time, we appreciate your understanding and patience as we work together to ensure a safe environment for the children, families and staff.

Take Action with Advocacy
Members of Congress and their staff are currently finalizing a draft for the next COVID-19 relief package. The decisions made in the next stimulus package will directly affect the immediate response and long-term recovery of nonprofits, their staff, and individuals across the country during and after COVID-19.

We are grateful for the initial steps Congress took to pass the CARES Act and provide emergency funding for the nonprofit sector, and include additional funding for the Paycheck Protection Program. However, more must be done to meet the significantly increasing child care, housing, and domestic violence community needs— both now and in the future.

If you have two minutes, join us and write your Members of Congress before it’s too late! We need your help and personal stories to support child care, housing, domestic violence service providers, and the nonprofit sector in the next COVID-19 stimulus relief package.

Time is of the essence to ensure our priorities are heard. Join us today !
