*NEW* Videos: Voices of Young Women of Color
A special thank you to the young women of color who participated in last month’s Building Our Future: Young Women of Color Speak Out webinar and shared their wisdom, insights, and passion for change with us.

Young women from Ohio, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina joined us for conversations around the issues that were most important to them and their communities. Their powerful words have been turned into graphics and videos. Watch (and share) Voices of Young Women of Color: Economic Challenges and Voices of Young Women of Color: Racial Justice.
Youth Preventing a "Shecession" : The Path to Economic Resiliency for Women Webinar hosted by The Aspen Institute Socrates Program
The downturn triggered by the COVID-19 crisis has taken an unprecedented toll on women, specifically women of color. Compared to past recessions, the pandemic has created larger job losses for women than ever before. Women in America have endured a decades-long childcare and workforce support crisis. The COVID-19 pandemic has simply brought the role of women in the US workforce into stark relief. In recent months, due to job loss and/or lack of childcare, women have been forced out of the workforce in droves. If left unmitigated, this “shecession” could jeopardize hard-fought advances in the labor force.

On Friday, November 6 from 2 - 3 p.m. ET, our CEO Alejandra Y. Castillo will speak with Victoria M. DeFrancesco Soto, Assistant Dean for Civic Engagement and Lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin, in a webinar hosted by The Aspen Institute Socrates Program to discuss the systemic failures and inequities that have engendered this crisis, and the opportunity that we have to create change and emerge from the COVID-19 crisis with a robust economy that catalyzes future growth and stability, and supports women in the workforce now and in the future.

Organize Your Butterflies: WWV Mini-Series
