More than 300 supporters of the Jay Heritage Center (JHC) enjoyed a night of spectacular weather, touring fragrant gardens and supping at sparkling tablescapes on Saturday, September 17. The evening marked 30 years of leadership in preservation and environmental stewardship first launched by JHC's five founding women.

Nonie Reich, daughter of Deedee Paschal, one of those trailblazers, took the crowd back in time as she remarked on the course that JHC navigated and praised the bright trajectory that they have ahead of them. A live auction of bespoke dinners and a green electric Moke were highlights of the party, co-chaired by another five dynamic women: Christie Bonasera, Aileen Burdick, Suzanne Clary, Lindsay Martin, and Caroline Walker.

JHC is thrilled to announce that its newest exhibition, Unknown Soldiers: The Making of Dickinson at the Jay Estate and the Real-Life History Behind It, will be open to the public beginning on Sunday, October 9, 2022. The exhibit will remain open every Sunday this autumn, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibit was curated by JHC's summer fellow from Princeton, Christina Cho. 

On Friday, October 7, at 6 p.m., JHC will welcome award-winning and best-selling writer Andrea Wulf, author of “Founding Gardeners” and “The Invention of Nature,” for a FREE program to discuss her critically acclaimed new book “Magnificent Rebels: The First Romantics and the Invention of the Self.”

The Jay Estate Gardens, open every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers welcome!
