Let there be light (past 4 pm)!
Have you noticed? There seems to be light at the end of the tunnel known as winter. We know we've got a ways to go before spring, and more snow will fall and icy winds will blow, but when the days start to get longer, we feel hopeful that spring is actually coming. With that optimistic feeling, we get inspired and motivated ourselves to head into our sewing spaces and create. Sometimes we're pulling out our UFOs or continuing a project that's been sitting on the table for a bit, and sometimes it's as simple as gathering bright, happy fabric for a brand-new quilt on the creative horizon.

A large group of us, both staff and customers, met on Saturday with some inspiration of our own - it was Reunion day for the Fall 2019 Mystery Quilt. Photos of those quilts will be up in Yankee Pride's website Gallery in the next week or so, but as you can see from the photo below, we're all smiles after showing our projects. If you've been considering joining our Spring 2020 Mystery Quilt, it starts next Saturday, February 8. Sign up at the shop or online - we have a lot of fun, and we make stunning quilts, every single time.

Block-of-the-Month with Yankee Pride

Our newest BOM, Harmony, from Nancy Rink and Marcus Fabrics, will start in mid-February. Isn't it gorgeous? Harmony will be a 9-month program, with fabric packets to make your blocks every month. There is a $25 registration fee, which also gets you the pattern book. The monthly charge is $27.50. Ruth has finished the sample, and it's hanging at the front of the shop, so you can see it close up! There are still a few spots left, so if you've been thinking of making this beautiful quilt, call us at 802/872-9300 or stop in to see us.

Spring 2020 Mystery Quilt

Batiks

by Hoffman

Your fingers are itching to start a new project with these, aren't they? The colors are so rich and fabulous, we're ready to start something new just to work with them! Teals, purples and blues with a hint of green - what are you thinking of making?

Spring prints

by dear Stella

Neither of these prints belong to a specific line, but they both shout "Spring" to us. Pretty, bright colors and lovely designs - what can we make? Something for the kitchen or dining room? Maybe a little girl's dress?

Dream Weaver

from Deborah Edwards

by Northcott

These prints look like they've been woven - clever design, and awesome colors do that job. Those of you who know Marjan know that she's a fan of the teal print. Make some napkins for your table, add to your (growing) stash for a future project, or use as a fun and interesting border.

Construction Zone

by Northcott

What fun fabrics! Construction prints are always popular - the bright colors, big vehicles, and tools to play with. And they're not just for little boys anymore. Add a few coordinating tone-on-tone prints to this group, and make a bright, happy project for the kid who loves all things construction.

Savanna

from Linda Ludovico

by Northcott

African animals are popular with kids and adults alike. We know several people whose favorite animal is somewhere on this focus print (top in photo). Fussy-cut the animals to be block centers, or use a large piece as the center panel of a play quilt. Use the cheetah print (bottom in photo) to make yourself a stylish new bag!

Thank you, as always, for your business, and thank you for being our customer. We love that you still believe in shopping local!
